SourcePointe is proud to partner with organizations giving back. We are recognizing Christ Health Center for their continuous work in the Birmingham community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Christ Health Center successfully made COVID testing readily available for those in need, bringing a sigh of relief for many in Birmingham’s underserved communities.

Dr. Robert Record, Chief Executive Officer of Christ Health Center, along with his staff oversaw a mass drive-through testing site of 2,220 tests from March 17th-22nd at Church of the Highlands in Jefferson County, Alabama.

With all the attention on COVID-19, patients with other respiratory issues were finding it difficult to be seen by a doctor. In response, Record and his team came up with an innovative idea to fill that need.

Christ Health Center setup a sick clinic where these patients can safely come to receive care. Record says, “it is the greatest honor of our life to solve a real need in our community, especially to serve the underserved.”

The clinic, located at the Dream Center in Woodlawn, is setup in a former firehouse with sealed examinations rooms so doctors can examine patients without contact. The rooms are sanitized between each patient visit.
