Small Business Giving Back Makes a Big Impact on Local Birmingham Community

July 27, 2020

SourcePointe is proud to recognize small businesses making a big impact in the local community. Creative Concepts, a locally owned and operated candy company, has thought outside the box to help frontline workers and residents in the Birmingham-Metro area during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kathy Green, Co-Founder of Creative Concepts, launched an online group in early March to begin making supplemental face mask for local frontline workers. The group quickly garnered over six thousand members with more than a thousand members actively sewing masks. Since leaving the group to focus back on her own business, Green noted over one hundred thousand masks had since be donated.

Their work didn’t stop there. Creative Concepts decided to use their in-house resources to begin creating social distancing signs and floor stickers for businesses poised to re-open to the public. Green said, “We knew there would be a need, especially for smaller businesses. Since we have the technology in-house, we thought that we would make these available to businesses that might have to wait in line at a big sign shop.”

Social distancing signs and floor stickers can be purchased directly from their website www.creative-concepts.com.
